Men's Tennis Blanks Monmouth

Baltimore, Md. - Sophomore Trevor McDonough won at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to help the Greyhounds earn a 7-0 win over Monmouth on Wednesday afternoon at the Butler Courts. Loyola improves to 7-3 overall, winning all six singles matches in straight sets.

Senior Dan Schiemel took No. 2 singles, freshman Scott Gannon won at No. 3 and sophomore John Curran clinched the victory with his win at No. 4 singles. Freshman Ben Epstein won at No. 5 while freshman Chad Morrow made his collegiate dual match debut a success, winning 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.

McDonough and Nick Bowers claimed an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles while Schiemel and Epstein won the point with an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles. The Greyhounds also took the third doubles' match with Gannon and Morrow teaming up for an 8-2 victory.

Loyola hosts Hofstra tomorrow at the 3 p.m.
