Men's Tennis Falls To Morgan State

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Morgan State at the Loyola College Butler Courts on Tuesday afternoon. The loss drops the Greyhounds to 1-1 in dual-match play this season with only non-scoring tournament play left on the fall docket.

The Greyhounds won the No. 1 doubles match with Ben Epstein and freshman Tim Koch winning 8-6, but the doubles point went to Morgan, after the Bears edged out Loyola's No. 2 tandem of Sean Wall and Chad Morrow.

In singles action, freshman Matt McDaniel won at No. 3, and in the match of the day, freshman Chris Langley squeezed out a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 6 in just over two hours.

The Greyhounds close out the fall portion of their schedule next Friday-Sunday, October 13-15 at the Hampton Roads Collegiate in Newport News. Va.
