Box Score

Baltimore, Md. - Freshman Sean Wall and sophomore Chad Morrow rallied for a win at No. 2 doubles, giving Loyola the doubles' point and propelling the Greyhounds to a 4-2 victory over Baltimore foe Morgan State at Loyola's Butler Courts on Wednesday evening.

The Greyhounds took the early advantage with Ben Epstein and Scott Gannon winning at No. 1 doubles, defeating Joaquin Turley and Marcus Townes 8-1. A tough 9-7 loss at No. 3 doubles put the pressure on Wall and Morrow, who trailed 7-6 in their match with Juan and Marcus Ortiz. Behind Morrow's big serve, however, the Greyhounds rallied and won the match 9-7, taking the point into singles competition.

Epstein and Wall won their singles matches in straight sets with Epstein taking No. 1 and Wall winning at No. 3. Sophomore Scott Gannon clinched the victory at No. 2 singles, winning 6-4, 7-6 (5). Morgan State captured the No. 4 and No. 5 singles matches while freshman Sean Kraft and Dia Campbell battled to a 7-5, 6-7 (4) no decision due to darkness.

The Greyhounds are now 2-2 on the year and return to action on Wednesday, March 15 when they host Catholic University at 3 p.m.
