Greyhound Tennis Fall To Siena

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Greyhound men's and women's tennis teams dropped conference matches against Siena at Butler Courts on Saturday afternoon. Despite a pair of victories by Scott Gannon, the men's team fell by 4-3 to the Saints while the women's team lost in a 7-0 result.

Gannon teamed up with Ben Epstein to win a doubles match at the number one position by an 8-5 count, helping the Greyhounds take the doubles point with two of three wins.

Gannon won at number 2 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 victory while Sean Wall added a 6-0, 6-0 victory at number 3 singles. However, the Saints won the remaining four singles matches to earn the 4-3 victory, dropping Loyola's record to 6-7 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Greyhound women's tennis team was swept in all nine matches for the 7-0 loss. Meaghan McKenna forced her first set at number 3 singles to a 7-5 decision before falling in the second set by 6-0.

The Greyhounds continue action on Sunday when they host Marist College beginning at 10:00 a.m.
