Loyola Men Defeat Catholic 7-0

Washington, D.C. - The Loyola men's team notched their fourth win of the season with victory over Catholic University on Wednesday afternoon.

The Greyhounds won every match played in doubles and singles and each Loyola singles player won in straight sets.

Starting with doubles action, freshmen Keyan Sanai and J. Pierce Norton won 8-2 at the No. 1 spot. Freshman Kevin Zingler and junior Matt McDaniel won at No. 2 doubles, 8-1 and sophomores Dan D'Agostino and Jamie Russo had the same score at No. 3 doubles.

Sanai kicked things off with his straight-set win at No. 1 singles, beating his opponent 6-4, 6-1. Norton continued with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 and Zingler played 6-3, 6-0 match at No. 3. McDaniel won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, D'Agostino posted a 6-1, 6-3 score at No. 5, and Russo finished 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.

The men's team continues play on Thursday, hosting the George Mason men at 3:00 p.m.
