Game Info

• The Loyola University Maryland women's basketball team plays its second of five-straight games on the road when they head to Emmitsburg, Md., to take on Mount St. Mary's at 4:30 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader with the men's team.
• The Greyhounds are in the midst of their longest road stretch since playing six-straight away from home during the 2009-10 season.
• The Greyhounds are 0-3 on the road this season.
• The team's last regular-season non-conference road win came at Navy on Dec. 3, 2010.
• Head Coach Joe Logan enters the contest with 99 career wins, one victory shy of tying Patty Coyle for the most wins in program history.

Scouting the Mountaineers

• Mount St. Mary's enters Saturday's contest with a 4-4 overall record after winning its first two Northeast Conference games of the season last week.
• It is the first time the Mountaineers have started 2-0 in conference play since 2005-06.
• The Mountaineers were selected to finish 11th in the NEC this season in the Preseason Coaches Poll afer going 8-21 last year and 5-13 in the conference.
• Sydney Henderson leads the team with a 10.9 points per game average. The Mount has six players averaging six or more points this season.
• The Mountaineers are third in the NEC in three-point field goal percentage, shooting 33-percent from downtown while hitting a conference-best 53 3-pointers.
• Head coach Bryan Whitten is in his fifth season at Mount St. Mary's with a 40-77 overall record.

The Series

• This is the 34th meeting all-time between the Greyhounds and the Mountaineers, with Mount St. Mary's holding a 21-12 advantage in the series.
• Loyola has won the last five meetings, going 5-0 against the Mountaineers under Head Coach Joe Logan. The teams have met each of the last five seasons.
• Loyola has won the last three games in Emmitsburg, including a 48-45 victory on Nov. 28, 2009.

• The Greyhounds have connected on six or more 3-pointers four times this season, including last time out against Lehigh.

Not An Easy Road

• The Greyhounds are playing a difficult non-conference slate that is littered with teams chosen to finish at the top of their conferences.
• Loyola took on nationally-ranked Maryland, along with Pittsburgh from the BIG EAST.
• The Greyhounds also have played UMBC (chosen to win the America East), Navy (2010-11 Patriot League champion), Army (receiving votes in Mid-Major Top 25), Howard (chosen to finish second in MEAC) and Lehigh (won 3 of last 4 Patriot League titles and picked second this season).

Leading the Way

• Senior guard Miriam McKenzie has consistently led the team this season, registering double figures five times while leading the team in scoring four times.
• McKenzie leads the team with 14.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. She also has shot 80.5-percent from the free-throw line and 43.2-percent from the field.

We Must Protect This House

• The Greyhounds have jumped out to a 3-1 start at Reitz Arena, with the team's lone loss coming to UMBC by four points.
• The Greyhounds are outscoing opponents by an average of 57.0 to 54.5, and have held teams to 31.1-percent shooting from the field.

Hey Nai

• Freshman guard Nai Brown scored a season-high eight points off the bench in 11 minutes against Lehigh on Dec. 5.
• Brown led the team with a +5 plus-minus ratio, as the Greyhounds outscored Lehigh 22-17 when she was on the floor.

Krusen On A Sunday Afternoon

• Sophomore guard Nicole Krusen scored a career-high 15 points in a 62-56 win on Sunday, November 27.
• Krusen hit five 3-pointers, becoming the first player since Katie Sheahin on March 16, 2011 at Old Dominion to hit five 3's in a game.
• The Rockville, Md., native became just the ninth player in Greyhound history to hit five 3-pointers in a game.

Diaper Dandy

• Since becoming the starting point guard, freshman guard Kara Marshall is averaging 10.8 points, 2.4 steals and 2.0 assists.
• The Gaithersburg, Md., native is shooting 45.9-percent from the field and 77.8-percent from the free-throw line.
• Marshall was named MAAC Rookie of the Week for the week ending Nov. 20 after scoring 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting in her first career start at Pittsburgh.

Making Things Happen

• Although averaging just 2.0 points per game, freshman Steph Smith has helped the Greyhounds outscore opponents 98-82 (+16) when she is on the court over the last six games, the second-best plus-minus ratio of any player on the team.
• Smith had the highest plus-minus on the Greyhounds against Howard, giving Loyola a 13-point advantage when she was playing.

Stealing the Show

• Junior guard Katie Sheahin enters action this week ranked 16th in the nation, averaging 3.8 steals per game.
• The Brookeville, Md., native set a career high with eight steals at Pittsburgh. It was the fifth time in her career that Sheahin had seven-plus steals in a game. She ranks first in Loyola history, averaging 3.1 steals per game and is fourth on the all-time career steals list with 196.

Close Calls

• Five of Loyola's first seven games have been decided by six points or less.
• In those five games, the contest was within one posession heading into the final minute of play.
• Loyola owns a 3-0 record in games when leading with five minutes remaining. The team is 0-4 in games when trailing with five minutes remaining.

Climbing the Charts

• Miriam McKenzie became the 11th player in Loyola history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark last season, and enters Saturday's game 11th on the all-time chart with 1,1109 career points.
• Loyola graduated Erica DiClemente last year, who finished as the ninth leading scorer in Greyhound history at 1,123.

Not Your Average Joe

• Head coach Joe Logan enters Monday's game with 99 career victories, needing just two more to become the all-time wins leader in Loyola history.
• Logan has led Loyola to two 20-plus win seasons in his tenure, including tying a program record with 21 wins last season.
