BALTIMORE - Staff members from Inside Lacrosse visited Ridley Athletic Complex on Thursday morning to present Loyola University Maryland Executive Vice President Susan Donovan, Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics Jim Paquette and Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Charley Toomeywith framed prints of cover designs the magazine considered after the Greyhounds won the 2012 NCAA Championship.
Vice President/Editor-in-Chief John Jiloty, Associate Publishers Andy Bilello and Jeff Dudley, and a pair of 2007 Loyola graduates, Managing Editor Terry Foy and writer Ryan Rabidouexplained the process of designing multiple covers before choosing the final version.
"This was a tremendous gift from Inside Lacrosse," Toomey said. "The prints are something that we will proudly display as we celebrate the championship."
The selected version featured an action photo of Loyola's Mike Sawyer, while the other versions in the frame showed celebration photos of Scott Ratliff and Davis Butts and Eric Lusby.
