Away For A Pair

  • Loyola University Maryland's volleyball team heads out on the road for a duo of Patriot League road contests marking its final two-game swing of the season.
  • The Greyhounds open the weekend with a 7 p.m. match on Friday, Oct. 30, at the U.S. Military Academy before playing College of the Holy Cross in 6 p.m. Saturday contest.

Patriot League Network

  • Friday's game will be broadcast live on the Patriot League Network. Powered by Campus Insiders, the Patriot League Network is a free, digital platform that showcases hundreds of Patriot League games each year. Fans can watch on their computers, connected televisions, tablets or mobile devices at the link above.

Last Time Around

  • The Greyhounds split a weekend of matches against Army West Point and Holy Cross the first time the programs faced each other this year.
  • Loyola opened its 2015 Patriot League home slate on Oct. 3 against the Black Knights, falling in three, 25-16, 25-18, 25-18. Army West Point hit .647 in the match's first set and .358 for the entirety of the contest.
  • The Greyhounds came back a day later to defeat the Crusaders in three, 25-21, 25-21, 25-15, to snap what was a 19-match Patriot League losing skid. Loyola had only one receiving error in the match, its low for the season. Three players had 10 or more kills -- Stacey Kazalas (13), Molly Cichosz (12) and Haley Puddy (11) -- for the Greyhounds. Meanwhile, Molly Werts posted six kills to go with 32 assists and 12 digs.

Lukas Back In Action

  • Jane Lukas returned to the Greyhounds' lineup for the first time this season last Saturday when Loyola hosted Lehigh University. The junior outside hitter had been sidelined for the season's first 24 matches by injury.
  • Last year, Lukas finished second in the Patriot League in kills per set (3.22) after posting 10 or more kills in 12 of the Greyhounds' last 14 matches.

Top Of The Class

  • Haley Puddy leads all Patriot League freshmen, and is seventh overall, in hitting percentage (.284). She is second to Holy Cross' Lynsey Petersen among freshmen in kills per set (2.75), but Petersen has taken 234 more attempts this year.
