Jones To Play In Gotham Hoops Invitational

BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland's Jarred Jones will compete in the Gotham Hoops Invitational next weekend on Long Island.
The fourth-annual event will feature 36 top men's college basketball seniors. The tournament-style competition showcases NCAA players to local fans and international teams.
Jones, a fifth-year senior in 2016-2017, earned All-Patriot League Second Team honors for the Greyhounds. He started all 33 games and averaged 14.7 points and 6.5 rebounds as Loyola advanced to the College Basketball Invitational Quarterfinals.
He finished his career with 1,188 points and 622 rebounds, totals that rank 26th and 11th in Greyhounds history. Earlier in the year, Jones became the second player at Loyola to record 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 100 steals, 100 assists and 100 blocked shots in a career. Erik Etherly (2010-13) had 1,245, 699, 121 and 121.
Jones' 125 career blocked shots rank third among Greyhounds players all-time, and his 135 steals are 10th.
The Gotham Hoops Invitational will take place on Saturday, April 22, at Long Island Lutheran High School.
