PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Two Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse graduates, defender Jack Carrigan and midfielder Brian Sherlock, will represent the program in Friday's United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association North-South Game.
Carrigan and Sherlock will suit up for the South Team in the contest that will be played Friday, May 26, at Providence College.
Carrigan played some of his top lacrosse late in the season while earning Inside Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention and All-Patriot League Second Team honors. He had two or more caused turnovers in seven of the Greyhounds' final eight games and five times had three or more. Carrigan finished the year with 51 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers, career-highs in both categories
A two-time team captain, he averaged 4.57 groundballs per game in Loyola's last seven contests. Carrigan wrapped up his career with 130 ground balls and 71 caused turnovers; his caused turnover total ranks fifth in school history.
Yesterday, Sherlock became Loyola's 16th three-time All-American after picking up third team honors from the USILA. He was the Greyhounds' first three-time team captain at the Division I level who also was a four-time All-Patriot League First Team honoree, the first midfielder to earn such recognition in conference history. He ended his senior season tied for second on the team with 24 goals to go with six assists for 30 points. 
Sherlock concluded his four years at Loyola with 96 goals, 48 assists and 144 points; his goal total ranks 11th in school history, while his points are tied for 14th. At the end of the regular-season, he was named the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year as the top student-athlete in the sport.
