BALTIMORE –
Isaiah Hart (Morrow, Georgia/Whitefield Academy) and
Brent Holcombe (Miami, Florida/Coral Reef High School) have signed National Letters of Intent and will join the Loyola University Maryland men's basketball program, Head Coach G.G. Smith announced today.
The duo will join
Luke Johnson (Lexington, Kentucky/Lexington Catholic High School) and
River Reed (San Antonio, Texas/Reagan High School) to form the Greyhounds Class of 2021.
"We're excited to round out next year's freshman class with these two guys," Smith said. "Isaiah will give us a lot of depth at the point with the ability to score as well. He comes out of a school with a great tradition. Brent is a four-man who can step out and shoot the three, handle the ball and spread the floor. He's another great kid from a great school in Miami. They're both smart players who play extremely hard."
Hart averaged 20 or more points per game during his final two seasons at Whiteford Academy, helping the Wolfpack to a pair of state final fours and a runner-up finish. The guard posted 20 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.7 steals per game as a junior in 2015-2016 before scoring 27 points to go with 5.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.2 steals during his 2016-2017 senior campaign.
Hart earned All-State First Team honors by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association in 2016-2017 and was an All-Metro (Atlanta and All-Regional) First Team honoree, as well. He played AAU basketball for Douglas Brothers Elite and was a member of the National Music Honor Society at Whiteford.
Holcombe averaged t double-double for Coral Reef as a high school and averaged 13 or more points and eight-plus rebounds per game during his last three seasons for the Barracudas. As a senior team captain in 2016-2017, the post player averaged 18 points, 13.3 rebounds and 3.2 blocked shots per game while shooting 53 percent from both the field and 3-point range. He had scoring and rebound averages of 13.4 and as a sophomore and 15.3 and 9.5 as a junior.
Holcombe was a two-time All-Dade County honoree and earned Coral Reef's Most Valuable Player nod as a junior and senior. He was a four-year varsity volleyball player and was a team-captain for that squad all four seasons. He played AAU for Man On A Mission.
