Turner Foster finished third individually, and the Loyola University Maryland men's golf team took second as a group Monday at the rain-shortened Metropolitan Intercollegiate Northern New Jersey.

The event was slated to be a two-round, 36-hole tournament, but Sunday's play was scratched due to rain. Monday brought tough scoring conditions as the Montclair Golf Club's 18 holes averaged 77.12 strokes per round.

Foster tied his best round of his young collegiate career as the freshman shot an even-par 70 to finish one shot out of first place.

Brandon Berry continued his solid fall season, during which he was averaging 72.58 strokes through four events entering this competition. Berry tied for fourth Monday, a shot back of Foster with a 1-over 71.

Evan Brown tied for 14
th at 3-over 72, while
Preston Ball carded a 4-over 74 to tie for 21
st.
Carlo Pizzano was tied for 26
th at 5-over 75.

Fairleigh Dickinson beat the Greyhounds by a stroke, shooting 287 to Loyola's 288.

Monday's round wrapped up a fall that saw the Greyhound have three second-place team finishes, a sixth and an 11
th which came against some of the top teams in the nation.
