BALTIMORE – Emily Hunt will join the Loyola University Maryland women's rowing team for the 2019-20 season, Head Coach Megan Patrick announced on Wednesday.
 
Hunt, who will graduate from Oakland Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been a rower for four years and has standout performances in the National Schools' Championship.
 
She helped Oakland Catholic High School finish first in the 1V and JV8 races at the National Schools' Championship in Philadelphia. She also was a part of the second-place pair at the regatta.
 
Hunt has also excelled in the classroom at Oakland Catholic, as well, earning the Highest Honor Roll recognition as a member of the National Honor Society.
 
She is a student ambassador at the school, co-president of the ski and Latin clubs and is a member of the yearbook and prom committees. Hunt is also a candidate for the Diocese of Pittsburgh's 2018 Medallion Ball for having over 150 hours of community service during high school.
