The Loyola University Maryland women's tennis team swept College of the Holy Cross on Saturday, ending a day of Patriot League competition at the U.S. Military Academy.

The Greyhounds won all three doubles matches against Holy Cross.
Kateri Martin and
Abigail Thornton beat Allison Reiling and Katya Martin, 6-0, at No. 1, and
Abby Decker and
Sandra Aguirre similarly blanked Morgan McGuire and Caroline Kam.
Lin Robertson and
Alexandria Agee knocked off Maddie DeNucci and Jennifer Kary, 6-3, at No. 2.

In singles action, Martin beat Reiling, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 1, and Decker dispatched McGuire, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 3. Robertson closed the match with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Sophie Papa at No. 4.

In unfinished matches, Thornton played DeNucci (6-1, 2-4) at No. 2, and Aguirre led Kary, 6-4, 2-1, at No. 5. Agee also was in front of Kam, 6-0, 3-2, at No. 6.

Army won at No. 1 and 3 doubles to post the early point in the women's match as Ana Joyner and Caroline Vincent beat
Kateri Martin and
Abigail Thornton, 6-3, at No. 1. Paola Bou and Genevieve McCormick downed
Sandra Aguirre and
Abby Decker, 6-1, at No. 3.

Alexandria Agee and
Lin Robertson were tied, 4-4, with Sam DiMaio and Kirby Einck at No. 2 when the doubles were decided.

In singles play, Joyner bested Martin, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 1, and Einck was a 6-0, 6-2 winner against Decker at No. 3. Bou beat Robertson, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 4, and Hannah Boubel topped Agee, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6.

Thornton took the first set off Vincent, 3-6, and was trailing in the second, 4-1, when the match was concluded. Aguirre lost, 6-4, to DiMaio in the opening set of the No. 5 singles match, but she led, 0-5, in the second.

The Black Knights did not drop a set in men's play. Myles Conlin and Nikita Larichev knocked of
Skyler Gates and
Matt Fitzmaurice, 6-2, at No. 1 doubles, and David Mitchell and David Gorshein beat
Brian Hoffarth and
Kyle Gower, 6-2, at No. 2. Alejandro Quiros and Diego Huttepain completed the doubles sweep with a 6-3 win over
Colin Kanuch and
J.J. Good.

Benny Glezer, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 2. Grant Patterson closed the match with a 6-3, 6-2, win over

The Greyhounds are back in action Sunday at West Point where they will take on Lafayette College in men's action at 11:30 a.m. and women's play at 2 p.m. The Loyola men then face Holy Cross at 4:30 p.m.
