BALTIMORE – The U.S. Naval Academy did not drop a set on Wednesday, defeating the Loyola University Maryland men's tennis team, 7-0, in Patriot League play at the McClure Tennis Center.

The Midshipmen opened up an early lead with a sweep of doubles matches. Andrew Ton and Jack Dabek beat
Skyler Gates and
Matt Fitzmaurice, 6-0, at No. 1, and Derrick Thompson and Peter Lohrbach were 6-3 winners against
Benny Glezer and
C.J. Cash at No. 2. Jake Fishkin and Greg Durhamn also beat
Brian Hoffarth and
Kyle Gower, 6-2, at No. 3.

In singles play, Ton beat Hoffarth, 6-4, 6-0, at No. 1, while Thompson was a 7-6 (2), 6-3 winner against Gates in the second flight. Durham knocked off Glezer, 6-2, 7-6 (3) at No. 3, while Fishkin topped Gower, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 4. Lohrbach got past Fitzmaurice, 6-1, 6-2, over No. 5, and Dabek was a 6-1, 6-1 winner against Cash versus No. 6.
