BALTIMORE – The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's tennis teams traveled to Coppin State University on Thursday and came back to the Evergreen campus with a pair of 7-0 victories.

The Greyhounds women's team did not drop a set, whilet he men lost two only to pick up those matches in third sets.

In the men's match,
Skyler Gates and
Matt Fitzmaurice beat Henrique Sada and Prabh Bal, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles, while
Colin Kanuch and
Peter Kelley shut out Quincy Pettis and Zaipo Oula, 6-0, at No. 2.
Brian Hoffarth and Edik PRibitkin then outlasted Jorge Rodriguez and Sam Scala-McNeill, 7-6 (2) in the third spot.

Hoffarth came back from a second-set setback to beat Rodriguez, 6-2, 3-6, (10-7) at No. 1, and Gates was a 6-3, 6-4 winner over Sada at No. 2. Pribitkin played No. 3 and beat Scala-McNeill, 6-1, 6-1.

Charlie Shanker came on to beat Bal, 6-2, 6-1 at NO. 4, and
Colin Kanuch turned back Pettis, 3-6, 6-0, (10-1) at No. 5. Kelley was then a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Oula at No. 6.

On the women's side,
Lin Robertson and
Alexandria Agee bested Brittanie Cahva and Tinashe Gwaze, 6-1, at No. 1, while
Julia Thompson and
Genevieve Wurtz were 6-1 winners against Shariah Dunwell and Precious Udofe at No. 2.
Kateri Martin and Abigal Thornton also won in doubles by default.

Martin scored a 6-0, 6-1 win over Dunwell at No. 1 singles, and Thornton beat Cahva, 6-0, 6-2.
Abby Decker stopped Gwace, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3, and Robertson blanked Udofe, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.

In the No. 5 match,
Sandra Aguirre stymied Alja Hrnjic, 6-2, 6-0; Agee won by default at No. 6.
