Track & Field Achieves USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Status

USTFCCCA Release

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its All-Academic Team recipients for the 2018-19 indoor and outdoor seasons on Monday, with Loyola University Maryland included among 227 women's program honorees.

Teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible for the award. The Greyhounds concluded the spring semester with an impressive cumulative team GPA of 3.61. That figure is tied with American for the top spot among Patriot League institutions, and it is tied for 12th overall out of the 227 Division I schools recognized nationally.

A total of 34 Loyola track & field members were previously named to the Patriot League Spring Academic Honor Roll in June. Jacqueline Kohaut, Christa Sidoti, Molly Smith, Devon Terwilliger and Kelly Williamson each had at least one semester in 2018-19 with a perfect 4.0 GPA, and 23 Greyhounds recorded GPA's of 3.75 or higher during either the fall or spring semester.

Loyola has now earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team accolades in eight-consecutive seasons under head coach Amy Horst.
