ANNAPOLIS, MD. – Loyola University Maryland track and field turned in a strong showing at the 2026 Navy Select meet, their final tuneup before the Patriot League Championships.
Lauryn Clarke led the short sprints with a second-place finish in the women's 60 meters in 7.72 seconds.
Gabby Snowden placed fourth in 7.81,
Jane Mazzeo was sixth in 7.92 and
Maddie Van Haren finished eighth in 7.95.
In the women's 60-meter hurdles, Lizzie Vigliotti placed 11th with a time of 9.74. Loyola's depth continued in the 200 meters, led by Van Haren's eighth-place finish in 25.93.
Julia Baguiao followed in ninth at 26.01, with
Mia Maselli 10th in 26.62 and Mazzeo 11th in 26.86.
Jolie Kaoma placed 12th in 27.35,
Chelsea Ayitey-Adjin finished 13th in 28.13 and Elissa Sadler was 14th in 28.28.
Olivia Dever added a fourth-place finish for the Greyhounds in the 400 meters, crossing the line in 59.82. The performance marked one of several strong efforts for Loyola in the middle distances.
Claire Griffin led the women's 800 meters with a fifth-place finish in 2:17.05.
Claire Dalsass placed seventh in 2:18.90, followed closely by
Meghan Leonard in eighth at 2:18.94.
Maeve Lowther finished ninth in 2:19.33, while
Kat Zysk rounded out the field for Loyola in 10th at 2:23.71.
Selah Decatur added a fourth-place showing in the 1,000 meters with a time of 3:11.65.
In the longer events,
Abbey Arseneau placed 10th in the 3,000 meters in 11:21.75.
Kayla Hayes recorded a fourth-place finish in the mile at 5:05.16.
Mackenzie Newman followed in 12th at 5:20.23, with
Sarah Teed finishing 13th in 6:04.75. The Greyhounds capped the women's competition with a victory in the 4x400 relay.
The relay team of Snowden, Van Haren, Dalsass and
Lauren Gerow won in 4:02.90. A second Loyola quartet of Griffin, Leonard, Kaoma and Lowther finished runner-up in 4:07.90.
On the men's side, Nate Tibbetts placed ninth in the mile in 4:26.62. Will Lancaster followed closely with a 10th-place finish in 4:30.11.
In the 3,000 meters, Mikey Byrnes led Loyola with a fifth-place time of 8:49.36. Matt Bradley placed seventh in 9:18.64, and Christian Zawislack finished eighth in 9:23.19 to round out Loyola's performance at the Navy Select meet.
