ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Loyola University Maryland 4x800-meter relay team took seventh in its final, and
Caroline Blakeslee advanced to a Saturday final in the 200 meters as the Greyhounds track and field team opened competition at the 2026 Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Stella Mische and
Kat Zysk ran 9:11.72 to finish seventh in the 4x800 relay, the lone final of the day that the Greyhounds competed in.
Blakeslee ran the third-fastest time in school history in the 200 meters to win her heat and qualify for Saturday's final in the event. She clocked a time of 24.48 seconds as the No. 7 qualifier in the event.
Maddie Van Haren and
Lauryn Clarke were ninth and tenth in the qualifying on Friday. Van Haren ran a wind-aided 24.67 seconds, and Clarke had the ninth-fastest time in school history in the event, 24.69.
Jane Mazzeo was 27th overall in 25.69.
Clarke had the seventh-fastest time Friday in the 100 meters, 11.95 seconds, a performance good for 10th fastest in school history. She was fourth in her heat, but the top two in each heat and top two other times qualify for Saturday's final.
Gabby Snowden ran a personal-best of 12.12 seconds in the 100 to finish 12th in qualifying as the third-fastest woman to run the event in school history. Mazzeo was 20th in 12.36, and
Julia Baguiao was 21st in 12.63.
Nelly Cruz had the ninth-fastest qualifying time in the 100 hurdles, 14.54 seconds, one-hundredth of a second off her school record set last weekend in the event.
Lauren Gerow ran a personal-best time of 64.93 seconds in the 400 hurdles, good for the No. 13 qualifying time,, while Lizzie Vigliotti was 17th in 66.36.
Zoe Keefe and
Meghan Leonard were 17th and 18th, respectively, in the 800 meters, running times of 2:20.25 and 2:20.67.
Mackenzie Newman was 30th in 1,500-meter qualifying in 4:58.95.
The Championships will wrap-up on Saturday with racing starting just after 12 noon.
