Loyola Debuts New Video Board At Ridley Athletic Complex

Ridley Athletic Complex's new video board.
BALTIMORE – Despite a weather-shortened women's soccer game to open the 2019-2020 calendar for Loyola University Maryland athletics, the Greyhounds debuted a significant addition to Ridley Athletic Complex on Thursday night.

The game was the first event for the newly-installed Daktronics scoreboard that replaced the previous model that was in place since the facility opened in 2010. Ridley is home to the Greyhounds' men's and women's lacrosse and soccer teams.

Loyola's new video board added more than 12 horizontal feet and improved the resolution by 130 percent, making it a top-of-the-industry resolution for an outdoor unit. Fans will enjoy live video and scoreboard elements during the game and better viewing quality for in-game elements featuring Loyola student-athletes and sponsors.

The Greyhounds have videoboards installed at Reitz Arena, home to the basketball and volleyball programs, and the Mangione Pool at the Fitness & Aquatic Center, Loyola's swimming and diving venue. All of the boards have been installed or renovated over the last five years with Daktronics equipment.
