Hardy’s Second Season On Loyola Men’s Hoops Sideline Starts November 5

Loyola will play 14 games in Reitz Arena this year.
BALTIMORE ­– Loyola University Maryland Head Coach Tavaras Hardy will start his second season on the sideline in November as the Greyhounds unveiled their 2019-20 schedule.
 
After a November 1 exhibition game against nearby Johns Hopkins, Loyola kicks off the regular-season with two games on the shores of Lake Michigan.
 
First, Loyola travels to Milwaukee for a November 5 for an opening-night game at Marquette. The Greyhounds then return to the Great Lakes region on November 9 for a contest at Chicago State. A third road game to open the season will take place closer to home on November 13 in Norfolk at Old Dominion.
 
The Greyhounds make their regular-season Reitz Arena debut on November 17 when it takes on fellow Jesuit school, and former Metro Atlantic Atheltic Conference rival, Fairfield.
 
Two days later, George Mason will host Loyola in Northern Virginia on November 19. The Greyhounds then have nearly a week off before they head to Omaha for the first of two games in the mainland bracket of the Cayman Islands Classic. Loyola takes on IUPUI on November 25 before facing either Southern University or host Nebraska-Omaha the next day.
 
After Thanksgiving, Binghamton comes to Reitz Arena for a game on December 1 before two trips in the Mid-Atlantic area take the Greyhounds on the road. They head to Dover to play at Delaware State on December 4 before squaring off in Emmitsburg against Mount St. Mary's on December 7 in the 175th meeting of the oldest rivalry in the State of Maryland.
 
A two-week break stretches across Loyola's final exams before it returns to action December 21 with a home game against Elizabethtown. Two days after Christmas, the Greyhounds close a four-year series against UMass Lowell in Reitz Arena on December 27.
 
Loyola's final non-conference game of the regular-season will pit the Greyhounds against Virginia Commonwealth on the Rams' home court in Richmond on December 29.
 
Patriot League action commences on January 2 against Holy Cross with eight more conference home games spread over the next two months: Lafayette (January 11), Boston University (January 13), American (January 22), Navy (February 1), Bucknell (February 8), Colgate (February 16), Army West Point (February 19) and Lehigh (February 29).
 
The Patriot League Championships open March 3 with the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships decided in the title game on March 11.
