(L-R) David Brown III, Milos Ilic, Veljko Ilic & Nick Marshall
BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland men's basketball has signed four prep players to National Letters of Intent, and the quartet of David Brown III, twins Milos and Veljko Ilic and Nick Marshall will comprise the Greyhounds' Class of 2025.

Brown and Marshall are products of Maryland high schools – Bishop McNamara and River Hill, respectively – while the Ilic twins will come to Loyola from their native Serbia by way of Hoosac School in Hoosick, New York.

"We really feel we once again hit four home runs with this recruiting class," said Head Coach Tavaras Hardy. "Milos and Veljko are two of the top post players in the highly competitive NEPSAC conference that consistently produces high level Division I players. They compliment each other well, bringing skill and toughness to our program. Similarly, coming from the WCAC, David Brown will be able to hit the ground running. He is a big guard who can shoot, defend and get to the basket. Last, but certainly not least, we expect Nick Marshall to make an immediate impact to our squad. Another big guard that can really shoot. Nick also brings incredible vision which makes him an extremely productive passer. Collectively, this will be a special group of Greyhounds."

Brown, a senior at Bishop McNamara where he helped the Mustangs to an 18-12 record, 12-8 in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC), a year ago. On the summer circuit, the 6-foot-5 wing has played for Team Durant in the EYBL where he averaged better than 12 points per game and was a high-level wing defender. He helped Team Durant reach the Peach Jam semifinals and also averaged better than five rebounds per game.

Last year at Bishop McNamara, he averaged 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal per game. Prior to playing 2019-2020, he played at St. Mary's Ryken in 2017 and McDonogh School in 2018. At McDonogh, he was an All-MIAA Second Team selection after averaging 17 points per game.

The 6-foot-10 Ilic brothers are in their second year at the Hoosac School where they are currently seniors. Both players were part of the Serbian National Team system and participated in numerous age-group teams and camps prior to coming to the United States for high school.

Last year, at Hoosac, Milos Ilic averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and three assists per game, while Veljko Ilic tallied 18 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

The brothers played for OKK Takovo, a youth team in their hometown of Gornji Milanovac, Serbia, before playing for KK Borac Čačak and KK Mladost in the Basketball League of Serbia's U-17 Division. They have also been accomplished in the classroom at Hoosac as Milos was awarded the President's Award for Excellence, and Veljko was named to the National Society of High School Scholars.

Marshall comes to Loyola from River Hill High School where he was an All-Howard County guard as a junior in 2019-2020. He was the county's second-leading scorer that season when he averaged 17.2 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals per game for the Hawks. He shot 72 percent from the free-throw line and 42 percent from 3-point range.

On the AAU circuit, the 6-foot-4 Marshall played for the 6th Man Warriors (2018), Team BBC Gold Gauntlet (2019) and Team Thrill UAA (2020). He helped Team Thrill UAA to an undefeated season, and Team BBC to a No. 3 ranking nationally.
