Heather Merrifield and
Senna Ohlsson set Loyola University Maryland records on Friday at the Navy Select Meet as the Greyhounds had their last competition before next weekend's Patriot League Championships.

Ohlsson cruised to a win in the 500 meters, qualifying for the ECAC Championships with a school-record time of 1:13.09, more than a half-second of the record she set in 2018 of 1:13.82. She has now run the five fastest, and eight of the 10 best, 500 times in school history.

Merrifield ran a new school-best in the 400 meters, taking fourth in the event with a time of 57.13. She shaved 21-hundredths of a second off the previous record, 57.34, set in 2017 by
Molly Smith.

The duo also helped Loyola's 4x400-meter relay team to a victory. Merrifield led off the relay, followed by Ohlsson,
Olivia Malley and
Courtney Kenny, and the Greyhounds finished with a time of 3:52.66, winning by more than seven seconds of the Naval Academy's entry.

Kenny won her heat of the 400 meters with her fastest time of the year, 57.75, a performance that tied her for fifth-best all-time in the event at Loyola.
Rachel Koller also had a personal-best in the event, running 59.38 to finish ninth.

Rhoda Miller was the Greyhounds' top finisher in the 60 meters, running a personal-best time, and the sixth-fastest in school history, of 8.03 to finish ninth.
Ariana Santo Pietro was 12
th in 8.31, and
Katherine Schramm finished a spot back in 8.52.

Maria Jaeckel led Loyola in the 200 meters, taking 11
th in 27.20, while
Jessica Boos (27.36) and
Ava Dunn (27.56) were 12
th and 13
th, respectively.

Stephanie Tracy was fifth in the 500 meters, winning her heat with a time of 1:18.70, an effort which is 11
th-best in school history.
Taylor McHugh was ninth in the ninth in the event in 1:23.52.

Jordyn Pugh ran a personal-best in the 800 meters, 2:16.27, to take sixth, while
Grayce Heinemann was one spot behind in 2:17.84. Malley finished ninth in 2:18.48, also a personal-best.

Kayleigh Caggiano led Loyola in the 1,000 meters, finishing third in 2:58.24, while
Audrey O'Neill (3:01.82) and
Carly Spinnler (3:02.71) were 10
th and 11
th.

Kate Ragone led three Greyhounds in the mile, running 5:16.46 to take almost eight seconds off her season-best time.
Abby Potticary was ninth in 5:21.80, and
Sydney Votruba finished 12
th in 5:46.55.

Mary Sutton was the Greyhounds' top finisher in the 3,000 meters, running 10:40.99, while
Kelly Williamson was fifth in 11:13.21, and
Caite O'Hehir ran 11:19.15 to finish seventh.

Kathleen Shepherd was the lone Greyhonds competitor in the 60-meter hurdles, taking seventh in 9.48. The distance-medley relay team of
Julia Vledder, McHugh,
Megan Daviero and Ragone was third in 13:15.22.
