GOODYEAR, Ariz. –
Carlo Pizzano shot a 4-under par 68 on Sunday, the best score of the day for Loyola University Maryland as the Greyhounds are in fifth place at the Loyola Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club in the Phoenix area.

Pizzano had five birdies during the second round as he improved on his first-round even-par 72 by four shots to ascend from a tie for 20
th to a tie for fifth after two days. Pizzano made the turn through nine holes at 4-under after birding the seventh and eighth holes. He dropped back to 3-under Sunday with a bogey on the 12
th, but he immediately birdied the 13
th to get back to 4-under before parring the last five holes.

Evan Brown for fifth after Brown played the final four holes at 2-over par to finish Sunday even at 72.

Turner Foster had a tough start to his second round, bogeying three of the first four holes, but birdies at six, nine and 11 brought him level for the day, and he dipped to 1-under with a birdie on the 14
th hole. He gave the storke back with a bogey on the 15
th, but he birdied the par-four 18
th to finish the day 1-under and get to 1-over 145 for the tournament to tie for 26
th entering the final round.

As a team, Loyola shot 4-under on Sunday and is 2-under for the tournament. Drake leads the event at 8-under after shooting 6-under Sunday. Loyola Marymount is second at 7-under, followed by Seton Hall (-5), Eastern Michigan (-3) and the Greyhounds.

Brandon Berry was even on the back-nine Sunday to finish his second round at 1-over. He is 7-over for the tournament and tied for 78
th.
Matt Malits shot 5-over Sunday and is tied for 92
nd at 9-over, while Loyola's individual,
Nick Mejia, is tied for 104
th at 11-over after shooting 9-over on Sunday.
