BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Milos Ilic had his first back-to-back double-digit scoring performances of his brief Loyola University Maryland career last week, and on Monday he was rewarded as the Patriot League Rookie of the Week.
 
Ilic averaged 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds, while shooting 75 percent from the field, and 57.1 percent from 3-point range in a loss at St. Bonaventure and a home win over Hampton.
 
On Wednesday at St. Bonaventure, a team that was ranked No. 28 in this past week's Associated Press media poll, Ilic went 5 of 6 from the field and 3 of 4 from 3-point range to score a career-best 13 points while also grabbing four rebounds.
 
Saturday, he finished with 10 points and five rebounds while having the team's best +/- rating of +18 against the Pirates.
 
He entered the week averaging 3.9 points per game and shooting 30.4 percent from the field, numbers he nearly tripled in the two games.
 
Ilic is the second Loyola freshman to win Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors this year. David Brown III received the recognition two weeks ago after wins over Elizabethtown and Fairfield.
