WASHINGTON, D.C. – Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse players
Kevin Lindley and
Ryan McNulty were named to the 2021 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, a group which includes the top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for the honor that was most recently won by Loyola's Pat Spencer in 2019.
Lindley and McNulty will join the Greyhounds this weekend in taking on Lafayette College in a game at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, in a game that can be seen on ESPN+.
Last Saturday, Lindley moved into a tie for fourth-place all-time at Loyola in goal scored with 128, matching the total put up by Mike Sawyer. Last year, Lindley became the fastest player to reach 100 goals in a career at Loyola, getting to the plateau in jus this 36
th career game.
Lindley finished his freshman season in 2018 with 37 goals, had a school-record 60 as a sophomore in 2019 and 19 in the truncated 2020 campaign. With 12 in four games to start 2021, Lindley has 128 goals in his career, and third amongst active players who have played more than 15 games at NCAA Division I.
McNulty has been a stalwart in the Greyhounds defense, transition and possession games over the last four-plus seasons as a long-stick midfielder. He earned All-America honors (USILA honorable mention) in 2020 and 2021 (
Inside Lacrosse Second Team) while leading Loyola's non-faceoff players in ground balls (102) and caused turnovers (40) since the start of the 2019 season.
He also has been an offensive weapon for the Greyhounds as he has 17 career points with nine goals and eight assists and last week at Lehigh, he posted his fifth career game with two or more points.
