BALTIMORE – Head coach
Megan Patrick announced on Wednesday the addition of Aidan Towey to the incoming men's rowing freshman class for the 2021-22 academic year.
A native of Oceanside, N.Y., Towey is a current senior at Chaminade High School. His Varsity 8 boat placed 27th at the Head of the Charles Regatta during his junior year. As a sophomore he was selected as the crew team's MVP after earning a junior varsity goal medal at the Bill Braxton Regatta and a seventh-place finish at the New York State Scholastic Championships. Towey was also third at the Stotesbury Time Trials that year.
Off the water, Towey is an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society. He has served as a peer tutor, he is a two-year participant in Chaminade's General Student Organization and he is also a current member of his school's Business Club.
Towey becomes the second announced commit to the men's rowing Class of 2025, with plenty more still to come in the following weeks.
