LEONIA, N.J. – The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's rowing teams got back into action for the first time this spring, competing Saturday at Overpeck Park in the Jesuit Invitational.
The event featured five other four other Jesuit universities: Fordham, Holy Cross, Fairfield and St. Joseph's.
The men's varsity eight –
Brendan Shaw,
Patrick Tonna,
Pete Bohacek,
Gabe Wagner,

Chris Engelbert,

Nico Del Pozzo and coxswain
Josephine Sedgley – had the best finish of the day for the Greyhounds, taking second in the final with a time of 6:31.3.
Loyola's women's varsity four – Eiley Depman,
Cass Garcia,
Marley Vallino,
Cassidy Richard and coxswain
Autumn Plummer – went 8:54.3 for third place, while the men's varsity four – Sean Mullaly,
George Bannon, Sebastian Sencion, Sam Crowe and coxswain
Lana Mihelcic – was also fourth in 8:52.3.
