LAKE NOCKAMIXON, Pa. – Two Loyola University Maryland eights won races against Lehigh University on Saturday when the Greyhounds raced against the Mountain Hawks in the Lehigh Valley.
Loyola's 1V8 –
Brendan Shaw,
Patrick Tonna, Peter Bohacek,
Gabe Wagner,
Ethan Shelley, Chris Enngelbert, Joseph Fontanillo,
Nico Del Pozzo and coxswain Josie Sedgley -- took first in 5:51.29, more than seven seconds ahead of the Mountain Hawks.
The Greyhounds 2V8 –

Liam Van Es,
Jeremiah James,
Connor Williams,
Miles Steinberg,
Jake Cordes,
Jack Tartamosa, Sebastian Sencion and coxswain
Ari Ellis – also won its race against Lehigh, crossing the line in 6:32.49, just under seven seconds ahead of Lehigh's 2V8.
Lehigh edged Loyola's three women's eights in a trio of races on Saturday.
