BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its 11 Academic All-League honorees for women's rowing on Tuesday afternoon, with Loyola University Maryland junior Theresa Martin earning a spot following a standout semester both on the water and in the classroom.

Martin (Dallas, Texas/Ursuline Academy) becomes Loyola's fifth Academic All-Patriot League selection in women's rowing since the Greyhounds joined the conference prior to the 2013-14 academic year. She holds a cumulative grade-point average of 3.822 as a chemistry major and business administration minor. A member of Loyola's Honors program and Chi Alpha Sigma (the National Student-Athlete Honor Society), Martin posted a 3.942 GPA during the 2021 spring semester.

Athletically, Martin was recently honored as Team MVP for the 2021 season. She led Loyola's 1V8 boat from the stroke position at this year's Patriot League Championships, helping the Greyhounds take 10 seconds off their heat time in the afternoon final. She was also part of Loyola's varsity four Patriot League Boat of the Week crew on March 31, as the program earned its first-ever Patriot League weekly honor. Martin previously took home a silver medal in the Novice 4+ at the 2019 Dad Vail regatta.

Loyola has now had an Academic All-Patriot League selection in each of the last five completed seasons dating back to 2016. Navy's Hanna Prince was selected as the Patriot League's Women's Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
