JERSEY CITY, N.J. –
Mike Crowley played his final 12 holes at 5-under par on Tuesday to log the first top-five finish of his collegiate career, leading the Loyola University Maryland golf team to an eighth-place finish at Liberty National Golf Club in the Georgetown Intercollegiate.
Crowley finished tied for fifth with Michigan's Pier Francesco de Col at 1-under over 54 holes on the 7,387-yard, par-72 course that overlooks the Statue of Liberty and the New York City skyline.
The Loyola junior started his round with a bogey on the par-five 10

After three more birdies, he birdied the 484-yard par-4 seventh and the 611-yard par-5 eighth holes. Crowley finished with a par on the ninth hole to card a 4-under 68, his lowest round of the 2022-2023 season and matching his lowest collegiate round.
His 68 also matched the low-round of both Tuesday's third round and overall in the tournament.
As a team, Loyola finished eighth at the event, one stroke out of seventh with a three-round total of 26-over.
