Mike Crowley shot a team-best 2-over 74 at the Daniel Island Club's Ralston Course on Sunday and is tied for fifth out of more than 100 players at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate.
As a team, Loyola is 10
th out of 18 teams heading into Monday's second round at the 7,446-yard, par-72 course.
Crowley was 3-over through 10 holes on Sunday, but he played the next five holes at 2-under, carding three birdies in the process.
Carlo Pizzano checked in at 4-over 76 and is tied for 24
th, while
James Rico is 7-over and
Garrett Kessler 8-over to tie for 57
th and 63
rd, respectively.
Lorenzo Sanz made his collegiate debut and is tied for 79
th at 10-over after the first round.
Play will continue on Monday with the second of three rounds.
