LEWISBERRY, Pa. – Three Loyola University Maryland boats won their respective races on Saturday as the Greyhounds competed at the Gifford Pinchot Sprint Regatta.
The women's second varsity eight, and the men's varsity four and second varsity four crews were victorious on the water at Gifford Pinchot Park.
The men's varsity four of
Tibor Francia,
Eoin McDonough,
Frederich Lightner, Max Greer and coxswain Austin Kayanan edged Lafayette College's boat by a mere two-tenths of a second, winning in 6:43.5.
The Greyhounds second varsity four with
Devon Sangiorgio, Joseph Arvelo,
David Schechter,
Ben Sala and coxswain Joseph Sigmund won its spring in 7:15.3, beating second-place Binghamton Univesirty by 22 seconds.
Loyola's second varsity eight on the women's side –

Sarah Hofstetter – won its race in 7:16.9, topping George Mason University by more than 13 ticks of the clock.
The men's varsity eight – Francia, McDonough, Lightner, Arvelo, Sangiorgio, Greer,
Jack Quinones,
Guillermo Diaz and Sigmund – took second in 6:18.2 behind Lafayette.

The men's novice four –
Matteo Mood, Perry Schutt, Matt Smith,
Jack Woelper and coxswain Austin Kayanan – finished fourth in 7:36.0, and the women's freshman four –
