Sims Joins Women’s Basketball Program As Transfer

BALTIMORE – Maryland native Koi Sims has joined the Loyola University Maryland women's basketball program as a transfer, bringing the number of incoming players for Fall 2022 to six.

A graduate of Archbishop Spalding High School in the Annapolis area, Sims comes to the Evergreen campus after spending her freshman season at the University at Albany where she saw action in 24 games for a team that won the America East Conference title and reached the NCAA Tournament.

Sims joins a trio of players who signed with Loyola last month – Marta Espinal, Cristina Garcia and Meliah Van-Otoo – as well as two who signed NLIs in the fall – Ally Lovisolo and Kelly Ratigan.

"We continue to be excited about the trajectory of Loyola Women's Basketball," said Head Coach Danielle O'Banion. "Ally, Kelly, Marta, Meliah, and Cristina all raise our team's level in significant ways; adding Koi's work ethic, tenacity, and championship experience further strengthens our 2022-23 incoming class. As always, it's a great day to be a Greyhound."
