Six Greyhounds Earn ILWomen Media All-America Honors

BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team had six Greyhounds earn ILWomen Media All-America honors, as announced by the publication Monday.
 
Graduate student Livy Rosenzweig and seniors Katie Detwiler and Jillian Wilson were named to the second team, while graduate students Sam Fiedler and Kaitlyn Larsson and freshman Georgia Latch earned honorable mention honors.
 
Rosenzweig concludes her storied career as a five-time ILWomen All-American, three-time Tewaaraton Award Top-25 Semifinalist, two-time Patriot League Attacker of the Year and four-time All-Patriot League First Team honoree. Loyola's career record holder for assists, points and draw controls (413), Rosenzweig also holds the Patriot League's career records for assists and points. Just the second player in NCAA history to reach both 200 goals and assists throughout their career, she ranks third on the NCAA's all-time career records with 230 assists and fourth with 439 points. The Katonah, New York, native had a point in all but one game throughout her career, including the last 75 straight, with her 111 points this year ranking tied for fifth in the NCAA.
 
Detwiler picks up her third ILWomen All-America honor after being named the Patriot League Defender of the Year for a second-consecutive season. Also a Tewaaraton Award Top-25 Semifinalist, the Devon, Pa., native is one of the top match-up defenders in the country, as she consistently shut down opponents' top attackers. Anchoring a defense that ranked third nationally, giving up just 8.05 goals per game, she helped the team hold 11-straight opponents to single digits in goals and 17 of 22 on the season. She also finished the season with 22 ground balls and a team-best 20 caused turnovers.
 
Wilson, a midfielder from Hampstead, Md., earns her first All-America honor after ranking second on the team with 48 goals, fourth with 61 points, second with 31 ground balls and fifth with 14 caused turnovers. The third Greyhound in program history to win 100 draw controls in a single season, she ranked ninth in the NCAA with 133 draw controls this year. She also led Loyola's transition game, as the Greyhounds ranked fifth nationally with a .924 clear percentage. The Patriot League Midfielder of the Year, Wilson scored in the last 18-straight games and contributed a hat trick on nine occasions.
 
Fiedler picks up her second ILWomen All-America honor after ranking third on the team with 74 points, third with 34 assists and fifth with 40 goals. The midfielder from Reisterstown, Md., concluded her career as the lone Loyola midfielder to be ranked in the program's top-10 for goals, assists and points, as her 174 goals ranks ninth, her 85 assists rank sixth and her 259 points ranks eighth. The 2021 Patriot League Midfielder of the Year, Fiedler ranked ninth in the NCAA this season with a .580 shot percentage, scoring 40 goals and 69 shots.
 
Larsson, a goalkeeper from Garden City, N.Y., is collecting her second ILWomen All-America honor after ranking fourth in the NCAA with an 8.25 goals-against average. The two-time Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year, Larsson held 17 of 22 opponents to single digits in goals this season, including all 11 Patriot League opponents. For the season, she stopped 142 shots and posted a .467 save percentage. Her 377 career saves ranks ninth in Loyola's all-time program history, while her 8.07 goals-against average ranks fifth and her .503 career save percentage ranks 10th..
 
Latch, an attacker from Melbourne, Australia, is one of six freshmen nationally to earn All-America honors. The Patriot League Rookie of the Year, Latch finished the season as the second-ranked freshman in the NCAA in assists, with 38, and as the third-ranked freshman in points, with 76. She had at least one point in all 22 games throughout the season, recording eight hat tricks, 12 multiple assist games and six five-plus point performances.
 
The Greyhounds concluded the season with their first NCAA Quarterfinal Round appearance since 2015 and a school-record for wins, as their 20-2 record marked the program's first-ever 20-win season.
