He joins 2014 Loyola graduate Joe Fletcher as Greyhounds men's lacrosse players who were named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans. Olmstead is the 17th student-athlete in Loyola history to earn Academic All-America honors in any sport for a total of 21 all-time honorees through June 14, 2022.

Earlier this year, he was named a finalist for the 2022 Senior CLASS Award, one of 10 men's lacrosse players nationally to be so honored, earning Senior CLASS Award Second-Team All-America recognition.

He was named to the Loyola Dean's List every semester of his undergraduate career and received the school's Magis Scholar Leader Award. He was a five-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, three-time Academic All-Patriot League honoree and is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Chi Alpha Sigma.

On the field, Olmstead was a two-time All-Patriot League performer and wrapped up his career ranked third all-time at Loyola in points (224).

Olmstead was one of three players at the school to post 100 or more goals and assists and finished fourth in assists (113) and 10 in goals. He is seventh all-time in the Patriot League in points and 10th in assists.
