Loyola University Maryland golf returns to action this week when it plays in the Ross Collegiate Classic in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
The Greyhounds, who won the event in 2021, join host George Mason and 15 other schools at the Donald Ross designed Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, March 12 and 13. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday, starting at 8:05 a.m., followed by the final 18 on Tuesday.Â
Loyola opened its spring schedule with a fifth-place finish out of 19 teams at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Arizona. Matt Malits and Mike Crowley had top-15 finishes with Malits making his season debut with a tie for 11th at 5-under and Crowley finishing a stroke back in a tie for 13th.
The two will join Carlo Pizzano, James Rico and Gustavo Rangel at the Ross Intercollegiate with Lorenzo Sanz playing as an individual.
