NORMAN, Okla. – Loyola University Maryland's
Mike Crowley was name to the PING All-Northeast Region Team on Saturday following a season in which he led the Patriot League in scoring average.
Crowley finished second at the Patriot League Championships to wrap up the season and concluded the 2022-23 campaign in scoring average (73.73), scoring average to par (+2.09) and par adjusted to courses played (+1.38). All three averages led his peers in the conference.
He finished the year with the highest
Golfweek/Sagarin ranking in the Patriot League by more than 250 spots.
During the season, Crowley finished in top 18 of tournaments six times. He had three top-five finishes: second at the Patriot League Championships, a tie for fourth at the RedHawk Intercollegiate and a tie for fifth at the Georgetown Intercollegiate.
Crowley, who is from Hunt Valley, Maryland, and attended Calvert Hall College High School, also has brought in accolades academically at Loyola. He was named to the Academic All-Patriot League and the College Sports Communicators All-District Teams recently and has been a six-time member of the Dean's List as a finance and information systems/data analytics major with a grade-point average above 3.8.
