BALTIMORE – The Loyola University Maryland men's basketball team is a 2022-2023 recipient of a Team Academic Excellence Award from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), and five Greyhounds were named to their NABC Honors Court for their work in the classroom.
Jaylin Andrews,
Alonso Faure,
Alex Jackson,
Kenneth Jones and
Markese Redding were all acknowledged with Honors Court recognition.
Andrews, Jones and Redding played the 2022-2023 season as graduate students while earning their M.B.A. Jackson graduated as a finance major, and Faure is about to enter his senior year as an information systems and data analytics major.
Student-athletes are eligible for the Honors Court as juniors, seniors and graduate students who have cumulative grade-point averages of 3.2 or higher at the end of the current academic year.
Loyola earned the Team Academic Excellence Award following a spring semester that saw the team receive a term 3.287 GPA to raise its cumulative mark to 3.203.
