BALTIMORE – The Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse program officially welcomed 13 newcomers on Thursday in conjunction with first-year students moving onto the school's campus for the first time.
 
Twelve freshmen and a transfer will join the Greyhounds on the field when workouts start next week: Ben Abel (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park), Bruno Chapman (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Prep), Kenan Everhart (Carolina Beach, N.C./Ashley), Carson Hall (Powder Springs, Ga./Harrison), Aidan Hevia (Miami, Fla./Belen Jesuit Prep), Brady Quinn (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./The Benjamin School), Brodi Reidel (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Oak Ridge), Remi Reynolds (Baltimore, Md./Gilman School/Rutgers), Ricky Savage (Vero Beach, Fla./St. Edward's), Marek Seaman (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin), Trent Turner (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola), Jake Wilson (Darien, Conn./Darien) and Quinn Wojcik (Westfield, N.J./Westfield).

Before Loyola: Graduated from Highland Park (Texas) High School where he had a .610 saves percentage as a senior in 2023 to help his team win the Texas Division I State Championships… Was the State Tournament Defensive Most Valuable Player… All-Texas honors as a senior and earned USA Lacrosse All-America recognition… Had a .580 save percentage as a sophomore, .590 as a junior… Competed for the Team USA U18 Team and Mad Dog National… Won the Brogden Cup with the USA U18s… Trained with former Loyola All-American goalkeeper Jacob Stover.
 
Personal: Son of Katy and Dr. Christopher Abel… Has four older siblings, Beatrice, Maggie, Annabelle and Chris… Honor roll student in high school.

Before Loyola: Graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco where he was a letterwinner in lacrosse and soccer… Scored 31 goals and assisted on 60 during his three year lacrosse career… Earned 2023 All-WCAL First Team honors and was a second-team honoree in 2022… Earned Adrln All-America recognition… Helped St. Ignatius College Prep win three WCAL lacrosse titles and two CCS crowns… In soccer, earned All-WCAL First Team honors in 2023 with seven goals and four assists… Also named to the All-Bay Area Third Team by West Coast Preps in 2023… Plaeyd for ADVNC and West Coast Starz… Three-time Nike National All-Star and was a Maverik Showtime All-Star.

Before Loyola: Graduated from Eugene Ashley High School where he was a four-year starter in lacrosse and two-year starter in basketball… Captain of both teams as a junior and senior… Finalist for the 2023 North Carolina High School Lacrosse Player of the Year… Led all North Carolina players in scoring as senior in 2023 with 75 goals and 36 assists… Also led his conference in scoring as a sophomore and junior… Named to the All-State, All-Region and All-Conference First Teams as a senior… Named the Wilmington Star-News Player of the Year… Earned All-State Second Team in 2021 and 2022 and was a First-Team All-Conference and All-Region performer… Led Eugene Ashley to its best-ever record (18-2) and a No. 2 ranking in the 4A Playoffs in 2023… Earned the Coaches' Award and Iron Eagle Award in basketball… Was a state championship qualifier in the 200 and 400 meters in track and field in 2021… In club lacrosse, reached the finals of the 2022 Mid-Summer NXT Invitational and the 2021 Inside Lacrosse Invitational… ECD Capital Classic Champion in 2021.

Before Loyola: Graduated from Harrison High School where he was a four-year starter in lacrosse… Won 87 percent of his faceoffs take, scored 26 goals and had three assists… Earned All-State recognition as a junior and senior and was a two-time USA Lacrosse All-American… Helped Harrison win the 2022 region title and advance to the 2023 state quaerterfinals… Played for Thunder Blue Atlanta and Thunder Blue National.
 
Personal: Son of Lori and Chad Hall… Has an older brother, Gavin, who is a quarterback at Toledo… Graduated from high school with a 4.0 grade-point average.

Before Loyola: Graduated from Belen Jesuit Preparatory School in Miami where he was a four-year letterwinner in both lacrosse and soccer… Was a team captain as a senior in 2023 and recorded 95 caused turnovers to go with 82 ground balls and 20 points… Had 62 caused turnovers, 60 ground balls and 17 points as a junior in 2022… Named All-Florida and All-Region First Team in 2023 and was a two-time All-Miami-Dade County LSM… Helped Belen Jesuit reach the regional championships all four years… Was a center midfielder on two state championship soccer teams… Played for Nationals LC.

Before Loyola: Graduated from Loyola High School in Los Angeles where he was a four-year varsity lacrosse and basketball player… Named the Mission League Most Valuable Player in 2023 and earned All-Mission League First Team honors in 2021, 2022 and 2023… Earned All-CIF Southern Section honors in 2023 and was a USA Lacrosse All-American… Helped Loyola win the Mission League all four years, finish runner-up in the CIF Southern Section in 2023 and win the CIF Southern Section title in 2021… Played basketball for the Compton Magic and lacrosse for the West Coast Stars, Mad Dog East Coast Elite and Mad Dog National… Member of the Nike National Team for the Pacific Southwest and the Under Armour West National Team.

High School… Earned All-State Class L honors in 2023 from the Connecticut High School Coaches Association (CHSCA) and was an USA Lacrosse All-American… Named to the All-Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC) Team in 2022 and 2023… Earned GametimeCT All-State First Team in 2023, as well… Helped the Blue Wave to the 2021 and 2022 FCIAC Championships in 2021 and 2022 with top-25 national rankings each of those seasons… On the football field, rushed for 1,327 yards and 16 touchdowns during his career.. Named the 2022 Offensive player of the Year and earned All-FCIAC East recognition… Helped Darien win the 2021 Class L State Championship and the Walter Camp Connecticut Team of the Year Award… Team captain for both sports… Played for Eclipse Lacrosse Club.

Before Loyola: Graduated from Westfield High School where he was a letterwinner in lacrosse and football… Had a .600 career saves percentage, making 358 across his three years… Saved 61 percent of shots on goal (179 total) as a senior and 58 percent (160) as a junior… Earned All-New Jersey First Team as a senior in 2023 and was a second-team honoree in 2022… Was a two-time First-Team All-County honoree… Helped Westfield reach the Group 4 State Sectional Final in 2023 and the Union County Tournament title game in 2021, 2022 and 2023… Team won the Bristol Cup in 2021 and 2022… Was an All-Big Central Conference football player… Played lacrosse for Blue Star… Named to the 2022 Maverik Showcase All-Star Team.
