James Rico shots rounds of 1- and 2-over on Sunday, leading the Loyola University Maryland through 36 holes of Duke University's Rod Myers Invitational.
The sophomore is tied for 26
th individually while the Greyhounds are 12
th as a team heading into Monday's final round.
Mike Crowley rebounded from a 5-over 77 in the opening round on Sunday to match Rico's for the Greyhounds' best round of the day. Crowley eagled both of the par fives on the back nine of the 7,154-yard, par-72 Duke University Golf Club in the second round to finish at 1-over 73.
Connor McGarrity had three-consecutive birdies to close the front nine during the first round and make the turn at 1-over, and he finished the opening round at 4-over and the second at 5-over to tie for 53
rd individually after 36 holes.
Gustavo Rangel shot 11-over in the two rounds and is tied for 58
th, while
Jackson Roman is a shot back and tied for 63
rd.
The Greyhounds will resume play with the final round on Monday morning.
