UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's cross country teams closed their 2024 season on Friday running at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional hosted by Penn State.
Camden Spring led the men's team in 116
th place, and
Isabella Coleman was the top finisher for the women in 135
th.
The men's team finished in 24
th place, while the Loyola women were 28
th.
Two men's runners had times among the 10 fastest 10,000-meter finishes in program history.
Spring covered the 10,000-meter course at Penn State's Blule & White Golf Courses in 32:19.5, the sixth-fastest time in school history at that distance.
Mikey Byrnes was 132
nd in 32:45.3, good for the eighth-best time.
Christian Zawislack ran 32:53.7 to check in 141
st, and
Dylan Jock was next across the line for the Greyhounds in 160
th with a time of 33:44.0, while
Dennis McNamara was close behind in 33:56.1 for 165
th.
Evan Alander and Ailin Oberlines rounded out the seven runners for the Loyola men in 183
rd and 185
th, respectively, with times of 34:52.5 and 35:07.6.
Coleman ran the women's 6,000-meter course in 22:39.4 for 135
th, while
Maeve Lowther and
Kiera Udell finished within six places of each other taking 154
th and 160
th in 23:00.0 and 23:08.1
Norah Affanato was 173
rd overall in 23:28.6, and
Kasey Boag took 192
nd with a time of 23:55.9 for the Greyhounds.
Meghan Leonard ran 24:43.7 for 206
th, and
Mackenzie Newman clocked 25:20.4 for 213rd.
