BALTIMORE –
Matt Cardano won his No. 1 singles match on Friday evening against Colgate University, but the Raiders took a 4-1 Patriot League decision from Loyola University Maryland.
Cardano won a second-set tiebreaker to beat Benito Vlassis, 6-3, 7-6 (7), scoring the Greyhounds' point.
Vlassis and John Israel got past
Nick Haggar and
Oliver Davey, 6-3, at No. 1 doubles, and John Fazi paired with Aidan Chung for a 7-6 (4) victory at No. 2 doubles against
Nick Lawliss and
George Cavo.
Israel then topped Haggar, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2 singles, and Lee was a 6-1, 6-1 winner against Davey at No. 3. Mike Thomas closed the match with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Cavo at No. 5.
