PRINCETON, N.J. –
Lauryn Clarke took second in a pair of sprint events on Saturday, leading the Loyola University Maryland track and field team at Princeton University's Larry Ellis Invitational.
Clarke ran 12.19 seconds in the women's 100 meters to finish fifth in the fifth-best time in school history.
She came back in the 200 meters to also take fifth with a wind-aided time of 24.46 seconds.
The Greyhounds' 4x100-meter relay team –
Madelyn Ricard, Julia Baguaio, Clarke and
Jane Mazzeo – was sixth in 48.73 seconds. Ricard and Mazzeo also ran in the 100 meters with the former coming in 39
th (13.10) and the latter 41
st (13.46).
Nelly Cruz ran 15.66 seconds for a 15
th-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles.
Isabella Coleman also took 15
th in an event, running 2:18.33 in the 800 meters;
Meghan Leonard was 25
th in that event in 2:20.94.
Ajia Morrison was 34
th in the 400 meters in 64.73.
Coleman also ran a personal-best time of 4:41.17 in the 1,500 meters on Friday night at the meet.
Billy Malone, a men's cross country runner at Loyola, was 30
th in the 1,500 meters, clocking 4:08.83.
