htLoyola University Maryland women's rowing's varsity eight boat reached the grand final of the Kerr Cup on Saturday, leading the Greyhounds at the event.
 
The crew of Grace Dwan, Kylie Doyle, Grace Prince, Beata Turnquist, Daniella Niedermeyer, Mary Cate Burger, Mikayla Smith, Josephine Lightner and coxswain Kat An finished third in its heat with a time of 7:10.4 before coming back in the grand final during the afternoon to place sixth in 7:24.4.
 
Loyola's men finished fourth in its varsity eight heat, rowing 6:16.6. Joshua Rafferty, Guillermo Diaz, Jeremiah James, Brendan Shaw, Gabe Wagner, Eoin McDonough, Sam Hoerning, Julius Boucke and coxswain Maddie McPhillips later took third in the petite final (6:16.3).
 
The women's second varsity eight – Maura Budd, Cassidy Garcia, Juliana Merlino, Grace Brandenburg, Kennedy Courtney, Olivia Welch, Adriana Leszczynski, Samantha Walsh and coxswain Meilyn Frank – was fourth in its heat in 7:40.5.
 
Cassidy Richard, Eileen Depman, Grace Gola, Valentina Masi and coxswain Josie Sedgley took fifth in their heat of the women's varsity four with a time of 8:27.6. The second varsity four – Bre Stith, Ava Oliveira, Grace John, Stella Augustin and coxswain Bella Schafer – went 8:38.2 and was fifth in its heat.
 
The men's varsity four – Jake Cordes, Langhorne Gibson, Graham Slemp, Salvri Manalansan and coxswain Thomas O'Neill – finished sixth in its heat with a time of 7:25.8.
 
Loyola's men's second varsity eight – Jack Woelper, Manalansan, Cordes, Miles Steinberg, Ben Sala, Devon Sangiorgio, Patrick Tonna, Nicholas Carrieri and coxswain Joey Sigmund – were sixth in its heat in 6:40.9.
