BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland's
Daniella Niedermeyer was named to the Women's Rowing Academic All-Patriot League Team on Thursday for her dedication on the water and in the classroom.
Niedermeyer graduated from Loyola last weekend with a Bachelor of Science in biology, finishing her studies with a grade-point average higher than 3.88 after putting together perfect 4.0 GPAs in each her 2023-24 semesters.
She rowed in the number five seat in Loyola's varsity eight, helping to lead the Greyhounds' boat to the grand final of the varsity eight at the Dad Vail Regatta earlier this month.
Niedermeyer, who came to Loyola from Buxton, Maine, was named the women's rowing team's Most Valuable Performer, and she was a nominee for the athletic department-wide Female Senior Class Athlete of the Year after moving up from the bow seat to the number five spot.
She is the seventh member from the women's rowing program to earn Academic All-Patriot League honors since the Greyhounds joined the conference in 2013-14.
