"
Dana Dobbie has been the face of Canada's Senior Women's team for almost 20 years. She has won multiple Women's Field Lacrosse Championships medals and was part of the Canada's Women's team at the 2022 Women's Field Lacrosse Championships in Baltimore, Maryland. She also competed in the inaugural World Games Sixes in Birmingham, Alabama that same year. Dobbie has made history and been a trailblazer for many young women for almost two decades, and now she will get a chance to wear the maple leaf at the World Box Championships. She grew up playing the game in Fergus, Ont., before taking up field lacrosse and having an illustrious career. She will look to add one more medal to her collection, and hopefully it will be the first ever Women's World Lacrosse Box Championships gold." -

Rosenzweig, VanThof, and Dobbie have continued their lacrosse careers, as both players have played in the Athletes Unlimited League and both currently are coaching college lacrosse. Rosenzweig will be going into her first season at Rutgers University in 2025, while VanThof will be joining Denver University's coaching staff in 2025, after stops at Ohio State and Penn State, while Glynn will be going into her fourth season at Richmond.
Box lacrosse originated in Canada in the 1930s, and is played on a smaller compact field than field lacrosse. There are five players or "runners", along with a goalie on the field at all times. In Canada, box lacrosse is played by both men and women during the field lacrosse season, but the sport has continued to grow over the past few years as it has culminated into the first women's box championship.
Team USA will open the Championships against Netherlands, as Germany opens against Ireland, while Canada will open against Finland on Friday.
