BALTIMORE –
Sam Springer converted a layup for Loyola University Maryland 2:17 into the second half to give the Greyhounds a 43-42 lead, but visiting Mount St. Mary's University scored 12 of the next 14 points to stretch out a lead that would hold in an 81-73 Mountaineers win at Reitz Arena.

Jordan Stiemke three for the Greyhounds (4-8 overall) with 9:19 left in regulation made it a four point game with Mount St. Mary's up, 64-60, but Xavier Lipscomb responded in kind with a three at 8:47 for the Mountaineers (3-8).
The lead remained seven or more for the remainder of the game.
Jordan Stiemke led all players with 22 points for the Greyhounds, his second game with 20 or more this year, both of which have come in Loyola's last four outings. He tied his career-high with five 3-pointers made in the game.
Jacob Theodosiou added 15 points, a team-high seven assists and three steals;
Braeden Speed scored 10 and led Loyola with four steals to go with four assists.
Emmett Adair scored nine and had a team-high seven rebounds.
Lipscomb and Arlandus Keyes scored 16 to lead Mount St. Mary's.
The Greyhounds will be off for eight days before playing at George Mason University on Sunday, December 21 in a 2 p.m. game.
