Rain Shortens Hounds’ First Day At Babygrande Golf Donald Ross Collegiate

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – Rain halted the second round of play at the 2025 Babygrande Golf Donald Ross Collegiate at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club on Monday evening with the Loyola University Maryland golf team in sixth place out of 20 teams.

The Greyhounds shot 3-under as a team in the morning's first round with Jackson Roman's 4-under 68 leading the way.

Roman had seven birdies over the opening 18 holes, while Mike Crowley carded four birdies and was at 2-under 70.

Gustavo Rangel shot 1-under 71, and Dustin Stocksdale finished at 4-over 76 in the opening round.

The Greyhounds have between five and seven holes remaining in the second round and are 10-over thus far in the poor weather conditions that developed during the afternoon.

Stocksdale leads Loyola in the second round at 1-under through 13 with four birdies on his front nine card.

Roman is tied for 11th overall at 1-under through 11 holes in the second round, and Rangel is 2-over overall.

Play is slated to resume Tuesday at 8 a.m. with teams finishing the second round before moving on to the final 18 holes.
