ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Loyola University Maryland men's varsity eight and two women's four boats won races on Saturday as the Greyhounds competed against St. Mary's College of Maryland.
 
Pete Bohacek, Chris Engelbert, Ethan Shelley, Gabe Wagner, Miles Steinberg, Patrick Tonna, Joe Fontanilla, Nico Del Pozzo ad coxswain Joey Sigmund pulled away from the Seahawks to win by almost 19 seconds with a time of 6:29.9.
 
In the women's varsity four race, Eileen Depman, Grace Gola, Ariana Pearson, Kennedy Courtney and coxswain Bella Schafer finished in 8:49.3, more than 40 seconds ahead of the St. Mary's entry.
 
Ava Oliveira, Cassidy Richard, Trinity McCutcheon, Molly Gum and coxswain Ari Ellis went 9:06.7 to win the women's second varsity four by almost 20 seconds.
 
Katherine Convery, Mikayla Smith, Kylie Doyle, Bella Taranto, Beata Turnquist, Lindsey Bonavita, Mary Cate Burger, Adriana Leszczynski and coxswain Calista Van Syckle finished the women's varsity eight race in 7:32.4 to take second.
 
Valentina Masi, Olivia Welch, Grace John, AJ Gristani, Sylvia Gredzinski, Norah McGlynn, Cassidy Garcia, Karina Leon and coxswain Josephine Sedgely were second in the women's second varsity eight with a time of 7:56.3.
 
The men's second varsity eight – Troy Guillen, Liam Van Es, Jake Cordes, Graham Slemp, Greg Hrica, Ben Sala, Jack Tartamosa, Connor Williams and coxswain Ali Arvelo – was second in its race in 7:16.1.
